Chapter 1: Software Updates
The Project Manager software downloads updates automatically by default. If you need to change to other options, please follow the instructions in Chapter 4 Troubleshooting.
Follow these steps to keep your Project Manager software up to date:
When a white globe icon appears in the lower right corner, this indicates that an update is downloaded, ready to be installed.
Close and restart Project Manager, and installation will happen automatically.
A new version number in the lower left corner indicates that the update has been successful, and the white globe should have disappeared.
Chapter 2: Data Synchronisation
Hover over the globe icon in the bottom right corner of the Project Manager window to view the status of the data synchronisation to the Havian server.
A green globe icon indicates that connection is ok, and all local data has been uploaded to the Havian server.
If sync status is other than this, you may need to change the network settings as described in Chapter 4 Troubleshooting.

Chapter 3: Local Sync
The Project Manager local sync feature allows the synchronisation of data between machines on the same local network. When set up, one machine acts as a local server on the network, which handles data synchronisation between all machines on the local network as well as uploads the combined data from all machines to the MPL shoreside server when onboard comms permit.
To set up Local Sync follow these steps:
Open the Project Manager on the machine that will act as the local server
Select 'File>Preferences' and tick the box next to 'Create Local Server'
This machine is now running as the local server. Open the Project Manager on another one of the machines, and select 'Utilities>Preferences'
Tick 'Connect to Local Server'. When checked an entry box should appear for the input of the "Local Server IP Address".

The software should automatically find any servers on the local network and offer the IP and machine name.
Select that machine/IP using the drop down, then select OK.
If nothing is displayed within the drop down, go back to the machine acting as the server and hover over the computer icon bottom right to view the local server IP Addresses.
Once the server IP has been selected, test the connection to ensure it is successful.

When connected the status displayed in bottom right of the Project Manager should be as shown below:

The machine acting as the local server will display the number of connected machines down in the bottom right corner.
Synchronisation of data between machines on your local network should now be enabled.
Chapter 4: Troubleshooting

This menu allows setup of the network connection. If the computer goes through a Proxy Server, the details may need to be entered here manually if “use system proxy” does not work. A web connection is required to receive updates and synchronise project data.
