Chapter 1: General information

Havian Project Manager let you log production progress of several types of geophysical surveys along a route plan:

Seismic

MBES

Sub Bottom Profiler

TVG

Side Scan Sonar

Magnetometer

Chapter 2: Requirements

Resources, like Geophysical Survey, must be defined under the Resources menu to be visible in Production, so make sure this is done before proceeding.

Go to Setup  Resources, and add Geophysical Survey to your vessel

Go to Setup  Resources to add the relevant geophysical equipment

Go to Setup  Configuration to create a Geophysical Survey configuration.

Note: You can delete objects by using the Remove button at the bottom of the page.

Add your vessel by clicking the “+” button next to Geophysical Survey

Add Equipment by clicking the “+” button next to the vessel name

Equipment chosen will be listed below the vessel.

You can add multiple configurations with different equipment to cope with different survey requirements in different areas.

To add your preplots, go to ‘Tools  Import’.

Here you assign each imported file to a configuration, and this allows the software to calculate project totals for each survey technique.

Chapter 3: Adding new production

Go to Logging  Production

Click the “Click to add entry” button to add a new operation

There are various properties that can be set on the operation as shown above.

Switch to the “QC Input” tab to enter the fixes, weather and the state of each equipment type. All equipment types added to the configuration will have a tri-state button here which can be toggled between green (accepted), orange (may require reshoot) and red (not accepted) depending on how the operation progresses.

Once a block of production had been logged, you can automatically generate timing entries using the Cog icon in Vessel Timing

This will create timing events for the logged production and fill in the time between the lines with line change timing events. The specific timing codes created can vary depending on what is set up for your project and can be tailored to suit a wide range of reporting requirements.
