Chapter 1: Download and install the Project Manager software

Follow these steps to get started with the Project Manager software:
 

Download the software from https://download.havian.com/

Launch the downloaded file, and follow the onscreen instructions

If you are unable to register details: Check the Project Manager settings in the lower left corner under Utilities  >  Preferences  >  Network, selecting the option “No Proxy” (below). 

Chapter 2: Add a new Project

Obtain a project identification string from support@havian.com or from your shoreside project manager. The string will look similar to this: MTAzMDMi9ycsyMDM3OzI4OTIwNjEyO3h4GMvOzcwNDV9yZWNlaXZlczMTY1MQ==

Launch Project Manager

Select “Add New Project” in the upper left corner

Copy in the Project Identification String and select “OK”

The “Add New Project” window also has some advanced options:
(These settings can also be added after the project has been established.) 
 

If your machine’s C:/ drive has limited space, you can change the default folder location. Choose another location by selecting “default” (see picture below).

If you want to add a second user to a project on the same local network: Simply select the “local Server IP address” to do initial sync over the local network as opposed to over the internet. This requires the local server to be set up on the first machine. See the local sync manual for more details.

If you want to download all the QC files on first opening of the project, please tick the “Sync imported files” box. 

Chapter 3: Use a previous project as a base

To copy the base resources from a previous project on your machine into a new project, please follow these steps:

Open the new project

Select Utilities > Copy Defaults from the main menu

Select the project you wish to copy details from using the drop-down at the top

Select the types of resources you wish to copy over using the tick-boxes

Press "OK", and these will be copied to the new project, this may take a few minutes
